Nope. Graham didn't even get the 405 HP model.

Come up with an option that is within 20% of the cost of our current trophies and that fits your needs. We would consider even letting you manage it all.

The current trophies are going to save THSCC over $1,000 vs last year. Next year it will be even MORE. Ohhh and that is with the pimp graphics on the new dash plaques, NEW FT* trophies and special trophies (Team challenge). Criticize the trophies when you year end trophy has a slight possiblity of having YOUR car on it.

I thought we had all learned to not cast stones of criticisim and not offer remedy.

I also thought that we did this for more than a piece of damn wood, if thats all anyone wants I have a stack of trophies you can HAVE.

I see that nobody noticed that DS was won by a Tarheel member who walked away with a second lead. That someone was me. I don't wanna give myself to much credit because I am still not as fast as the Type-Rs at our own events. I would like to give a shout out to Scott Farmer also for giving me some competition and he took second place. So Tarheel members took 1 and 2 in DS out of 5 cars. Just thought you all should know.

Actually by years end it will be almost $2000.00, but whose counting?

No way you AWD hacks will get any credit around here Keith, just ask the Red Herring.

Great job Scott and Keith for bringing home some of Triad's wood!

I actually ran pro class with Steven and Scott Sawyer and finished second between them. So far the new setup was an unqualified sucess on cold asphalt, we'll see how it does at the Challenge school next weekend. We may be bringing the Celi back out of retirement or splitting events between the two cars. I was almost hoping the setup wouldn't be that sucessful since our new custom built trick Miata shocks just arrived today...

Is it just me or are a few people getting overly sensitive around here. If what you do for this club is the measure for value of posts or opinions maybe you should look at how VMSC awards year end championship points for attending club meetings, serving different positions etc. Heck there you could be the club champion without ever getting behind the wheel! Thicker skins may actually encourage people to do more rather than pushing them away, what the saying: "you catch more flies with honey...

PS: saving the club money may indeed be an honorable goal, but I find it hard to justify the downgraded trophies with all that was spent on "cool" equipment. Remember without event competitors or happy members all that equipment is just lawn ornaments. That's my personal opinion YMMV.

Sorry I missed that Keith, but you guys are fairly new and I haven't met you yet. Very glad to hear more Triad wood was stolen by THSCCers though...

He,he. Oh yes he did Vincent
The 01 was the 385hp model. The 01's had some real problems that I didn't want to deal with. 1st year model run. So I got the 02. Not so much for the 405hp but all the other improvements in engine, drivetrain and suspension.

Now there's the love I expect from Tarheels Ryan. And to think others feel we are insensitive EBs and EAs...

Yes that blew my budget right out the window. No extra set of wheels, r-comps, trailer this year. I'm just going to learn how to drive all over again and do it on street tires. Should be a fun adventure.

The tape would help alot. And just to show the love right back at ya. If there are a few extra dollars left over in the hat. I'll put it towards your next engine  :nana:

Here's my last post on the trophy subject in this thread.

Ask yourself this question. Would I still run THSCC events even if there were NO TROPHIES of ANY KIND?

If the answer is yes, then show up, run, have fun, and quit complaning. If your answer in no, fine, go run with Triad because we are really hurting for entries at our events these days.

As I've said before, if you don't like the way we (the THSCC Officers) run this show, then put your name on ballot and vote us out of office in 2006. You'll find the pay, hours, and work load sucks...oh yeah you get to hear people who don't lift a finger to help gripe and complain a lot for your trouble.

I thought all the 405HP models had that very 405 HP badge on the fender? I stand corrected!

I thought it was an 02 you bought. The 01's had some leaking problems because of an issue with the rings. Correct?

Then keep it off the track and do autox until you get some miles on it. I hate to see you swap engines so soon after the install. I was just busting your chops.

If this engine doesn't hold up maybe I'll let you borrow the LT1 out of the C4. Think small nimble little package with gobs of torque. Might need a little stronger front springs and some ballast in the back though. The "CRX-LT1 from Hell"
