What a great event! I'm still surprised at what a well-oiled machined THSCC really is. Even though we were short two AX VP's and a Registar things ran very smoothly.
Sally pitched in to help with registration, (thanks Sally!) and Todd did double duty as head of T&S and announcer part of the day. Our worker coordinators reported that everyone showed up to their work assignment on time and didn't even have to be prodded to do so. Let's please keep that up!
Art and Patrice handled all of their event chair duties and designed a very fun course that was well suited to the lot area we have to work with. Even their modified grid system went off without a hitch. Great job guys!
We really lucked out with the weather with everyone getting 4 dry runs and lots of fun runs to boot. The rain held off just long enough for us to get inside to do the trophy presentation. BTW, all of you who scattered and didn't attend I have your trophies! I will
NOT be hauling them around all year long to try and find you, so you'll need to find me.
I few items that I thought were worthy of noting in no particular order:
- Dustin now loves Hoosiers and if you plan to run CS you'd better bring
your A-game!
- Randy now has the Mustang suspension dialed in and has learned to
save his tires. Watch out you AWD hacks, here comes the redneck!
- Patrice designs a stop box then has it bite him in the a** to snatch
away his FTD....priceless.
- If the CRX I drove had the
DOHC ZC motor I still couldn't beat
Feinberg...I hate him!
- Manual steering really sucks. Hey I need some excuse right?
-Setting up the CRX for easy H&T $60, hitting the brake and gas
three
runs in a row to ruin my runs because of it...priceless.
