Here are the results of the International Intrigue Challenge held April 23rd in conjunction with the International Intrigue Autocross at the Dealers Auto Auction in Greenville. Alas, the event chairs' curse struck "The Rules Committee", and the "The Beat Down" team stepped up and took the very handsome trophies created by Vincent Keene. The first three places were very close.
The rules were as follows:
a) The best net times of all members of each 4-driver team were totaled to determine the team score. (Low score wins)
b) Each team must include exactly 1 American car
c) Each team must include at least 1 European car
d) Each team must include at least 1 Asian car
e) Each team must include at least one woman
f) Each team must include at least one car on street tires.

ADDITIONAL AWARDS (as advertised in the very first post on this thread):
BEST TEAM COSTUME - the competition for this one was about non-existent, so I threw it to Christine's team (Team Why Bother) since she was wearing a "Carolina" shirt and did a better job of that than either Scott or me. Their prize: two packages of Hawiian shirt air fresheners.
BEST PADDOCK DECORATIONS - again, this was just pitiful. However, I noticed that Graham pitched a tent in the paddock behind his 3M Painters Tape Special (to keep his equipment dry, he said) so "emaN maeT" won a SpongeBob Squarepants bubble kit.
BEST TEAM DANCE - Randy Melton's "Right Foot Stomp". How appropriate. His team, "The Beat Down", was awarded a plentiful supply of chewing gum. Given the charming simplicity of this dance step, they probably CAN dance and chew gum at the same time.
BEST FIGHT SONG - I had to block this out, right I after I recorded "Team Why Bother" as the lucky recipients of a large pack of Breath Savers mints. Perhaps they'll take the hint next time.
Finally,
BEST TEAM NAME - Since this name seemed to work, at least until the awards ceremony, we awarded each of the members of "No Rain Please" with their own cleverly named Hot Wheels car. At last report, Jim Pastorious from "Team No Pressure" was negotiating to buy the "Top Speedo" car.
