Great Job everyone, I think that telling Mike Whitney that the work he has done of the last 2 months was a waste of club resources was a great idea, so since he wants nothing to do with club issues right now; which one of you is going to park the Bus and Trailer at your house?? I have know Mike for a while and while I have not always agreed with his decisions and even had a few personality conflicts with him in the past, However, he has pretty much always done what he though was best for the club and not best for him, Yet know he has current/past officers and other saying he was wasting his efforts... great job.

I know some of your do not want to here this from someone who has not been involved with club in the past three years but it needs to be said.

I know some of you though getting rid of the old Bus was a bad Idea and that there was nothing wrong with it, however that decision has been made get over it. I work in the Trucking industry once a vehicle gets over 5 years the maintenance cost double, over ten and they go up over 5 times as much, the bus needed to replaced before it became more of a money pit.

Having done setup in the old bus and the new bus, I can tell you the new bus is superior in many ways and none of them have to do with wireless and fm radio stuff.

Just having a trailer has been done in the past, and it does not work, for instance it rained at an even where everything was under an easy up, the easy up got full of water and dumped it on the brand new club laptop (luckily still covered under warranty still) for one example, and trying to get some one to toe the trailer to every event was a problem from time to time.

If you think there are sites out there that we should be running at then you should go scout them out and pass them on to Miles, telling mike that his energy should be spent on that when you could easily be spending your energy on it almost seems hypocritical.

I know I probably should drop this, however I see this as a huge injustice being done to Mike, he had to beg and plead to get people to help him get the bus into shape, if you did not agree on what was being done and had better ideas, then maybe you should have been over there. Maybe Mike is taking this a little too personally, however he spent a good amount of his own time on this, when I am sure he other things he would have like to have been doing, so maybe just maybe we need to apologize to Mike, because I do appreciate what he has done for club with the bus and over the past years, and am very surprised to see past and current officers riding him so hard.

WTF brought you to write this? Mike did a lot of work, but he did make the decision on the bus/trailer. Do I believe the new bus/trailer was the best idea? No. I'm not an officer, so I really don't care... but this post is ridiculous. If we can't find a place for the bus, we pay for one. I don't see how anyone 'stepping up' to take the bus at their home shows their dedication. - AB

This thread is what made me write this, http://www.thsccforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=2870 , If you don't understand the reason I posted this then you have probably not read the above thread and few others about simplcity.

Because Mike was hosing the bus at his house until a new site for storaage was found until this post. http://www.thsccforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=2870 I not talking about any one being dedicated buy storing the bus, I am talking about some one storing the bus asap since it just lost its parking space

We actually do have an option. Buy two spaces in the former lot. We have a bus and a trailer. They're not fused together. - AB

And Aaron the point of this post was not to find a place to park the bus and trailer it was to hopefully get the people who have been critical towards Mike to take a step back and think about what they have been saying and weather is in the best interest of the club.

Someone needs to refresh my memory with a quote from ME to verify this. AFAIK, I've been supportive of all of Mike's effort of the bus, trailer, automated timer project, etc. If you have a quote of me saying otherwise please produce it.

As Mike has said, he has been doing what he does best, technical projects. Miles has been doing what he does best, looking for sites. I don't see the problem here.

Yeah, yeah we all want sites closer to the Triangle. It would be less of a drive for us easterners too. However it's not as easy as it sounds. If you know of a potential site contact Miles and he'll take it from there. He's done a great job in the past and continues to do so.

BTW, if the majority thinks the new administration is doing such a poor job...fire me/us. The pay sucks anyway.

I know it seems like I am on a lock fest, but what needed to be said, has been said. It seems like most threads start out at well intended and then turn into a flame fest around the 3rd page. This is a pre-emptive strike.

So....
