Does anyone have a life size cut-out of Eric Peterson? For the 5 years I have either taught or taken a class, Eric has put on the lunch time chat. Now, that he is married, he has lost focus and can not attend the school. Some lame excuse about having their first child that weekend.

If we get a life-size cut-out....Eric can record his speech.

I think Aaron should give the speech, in his budweiser outfit.

We would like these people to come back for another event. Plus I don't want to be known aas the guy who is sharing a room with that ugly chick in the bud dress!

What? In this world of modern medicine, I assure you that they can induce labor on Friday, thus ensuring Eric can attend the school and the birth of his first child.

What better weekend could a guy ask for? Baby on Friday, instruct autocrossing on Saturday, and an autocross on Sunday. Not to mention, a weekend away from the wife and crying baby!

Stop it with the lame excuses Eric, we expect you to be in Laurinburg this weekend.

Scott

Scott, wow, that is a great idea about inducing labor on Friday to "free me up" so I can go to Laurinburg this weekend - you are the man! Know I know why you are the President! I haven't run this idea by Chris yet, but I'm sure she'll be fine with it.

On the off chance that she doesn't like the idea and maybe threatens to kill me or something...I do have a Plan B. On Saturday a.m. I can just tell Chris that I'm making a "diaper run"....then "accidentally" detour through Laurinburg around lunch time and zip back to Hillsborough really quick. Hey Pastorius, can you pick up some Huggies for me to help save me a few minutes. Then, just repeat aforementioned steps again on Sunday to get my four runs in...assuming that somebody can pick up my work assignment for me. Chris will never even know that I was there, assuming that she doesn't read the results - this is a great back-up plan. Unnnhhh, she doesn't read this forum does she? :-)

We are hoping to make the Laurinburg event in June, that will be our first attempt at bringing Kelly to an autocross...and probably Chris' first chance to drive this season.

Sincerely,
The Driver Formerly Known as Eric

:stupid:
Oh sure, he can make the lunch time talk on Saturday, but he DEFINITELY has baby duty (or is that 'doody'?) on Sunday so *I* can take the 4 runs.

As for the life size cutout, Jim...you have no idea. I am, in fact, in possession of a 'mini-me' cutout of Eric that can easily be blown up to life size. I'm happy to take care of that for you. And feel free to put the Bud dress on him, too!!

We know it's a girl, but she has not yet arrived.....we are still waiting....and waiting...and waiting! (actually, she's not due until March 18, but the doctor was very hopeful for an early delivery as of last week. So much for doctors!!)

We'll be sure to keep ya'll posted!

If Kelly is a little late (and what woman is not late for a big date?) I don't see the problem here. I remember when nothing would keep Eric away from a race, not even Chris ;)

That's the spirt Eric! I knew you had your priorities in-line.

We'll miss yall out there this weekend, hope everything goes well in the delivery room (and reasonabally quickly for Chris' sake) when the time comes!

Scott

We _so_ need to organize an at-event "Daycare". As a formal work assignment. Four workers could handle it, 2 per shift, work twice (hey, it's a cush job :) ).

Complaints about "stealing more workers" aside, this would be the #1 thing to make the events more family, kid, and spouse friendly - a safe place to stick the kid while getting your runs in.

As Nathan gets older, the only thing that would prevent me from bringing him to the events by myself is knowing that I have someone to watch him while I run and work.

Damn, I've really been exercising my thread hijacking lately :)

I'd rather be run over by car than look after kids!
