Seems a little on the expensive side, but even at the "buy it now" price this car can be a class winner (nationally) for about $5000.

I've been thinking I need another "hooptie" so I can quit putting miles on the Tundra.

Oh, if I only had money. How about you buy it, set it up and let me co-drive it? :D

Not an STS car, but with minimal love it could be fun in stock or STX locally. What this car really cries out for is Rally-x.

That is probably the nicest All Trac I've seen in a long time. - AB

Totally. I'm used to seeing banged up rally beaters on bensrallypage, but not a pristine street car like that. I'd still be driving AWD/Turbo if I owned an All-Trac.

Look who's talking ;)

Karl likes to kid, but project Civic restoration is coming along quite nicely. Unfortunately I have already put more $$ into it than I spent on the car.

Tokiko adjustable shocks, Progress rear bar, new suspension bushings all around, and 205 Azenis have made this car a real monster. I plan to run it in STS here pretty soon, on OE springs (maybe with NASCAR spring rubbers in the back).

New bumper cover is in the garage, new fender and hood on the way, and found a good guy to do a paint job with some good DuPont paint for not a fortune.

Then I'll sell it. Want a potential STS car for half the ebay deal? Runs like a top and has no excuses. Just needs coilovers, intake, header, and exhaust to be capable of mopping up locally in the hands of the right driver.

I think at least 4 civic Si's were in the top 10 at nats. Not all were the 100-lb light-but-soon-illegal so-called frankencivics either.

Seriously, car will probably be available in the spring if anyone wants to take a test drive at some future night event.

When I saw this link I thought it was a link to an Ebay Geo Storm  . My brother has a 91 Civic Si that will soon be passed down to me when either the clutch or engine goes. Both are supposedly on their last legs. :D

I don't know anything about Civics. Is this a good deal? Chris and I have been talking about getting a "beater" for a commuter car. It seems pretty cheap, but I really don't know. Any comments or suggestions.

Thanks,
Eric

They seem to range anywhere for a grand for pink ones like Whitney bought, to 2000-2500 for decent, not-horribly-rusting Sis. At 2200 this guy's reserve is still not met, and the buy it now is $3K. I think it's gonna be priced too high.

The market has priced Si's pretty high -- with only 105k miles if it has zero other problems (not at all likely) then it's worth $3000 these days.

I see 200k mile CRXs in the paper for $2500 regularly.

If this car has the usual Civic issues that have not been addressed then it's a $2000-$2500 car.

BUT if you want a fun beater and don't care about the Honda "crowd" or its STS potential, there are a lot of better cars out there for $3000 Some that come to mind, fun, cheap, reliable - 325is, 240sx, Accord, Golf, etc.
