Hmm, looks like the DOT tires got faster in 2005. Relative to A-Mod almost all the stock classes got harder, however, when you compare the classes that can run race slicks (not DOT) they all got easier realtive to A-Mod, so what we find out is that A-Mod did get faster, but not as fast as the tire tech is developing.
The big "losers" are the STS and STX guys.
A few curious classes are D-Stock and C-Stock. D-Stock got harder (relative to the others) in spite of the fact it is one of the most stable classes out there, with the '97-00 Type R's still being the benchmark.
C-Stock, on the other hand, got easier, and it's also one of the most stable classes. Donnie, Eric and Chris- what are the PAX people trying to say about your driving relative to Telehowski's

I have full faith that you will prove them wrong!
B-Stock got a substatntial adjustment with the loss of the S-2000, that's my "cherry pick" class for 2005.
All you ST2 folks should be happy with the adjustment they made for you.
Since I run DS, I'll give a few examples for me...
If I run 60 seconds, in 2005, a CS gets an 0.2 second PAX advantage relative to last year, however, STS and STX cars have to run 0.4 and 0.3 seconds FASTER than last year to keep up on PAX.
In the stock classes, D-Stock got the hardest hit, having to run faster relative to everyone else.
DSP suffered a similar fate in the street prepared classes.
