Just some background to put the year-end trophies in perspective...

We traditionally award a year-end trophy to anyone that is:
1) A THSCC member
2) Ran 5 events during the season as a THSCC member.

If you run 5 events in 5 different classes you will get a trophy for one of them (that might seem silly, but it's true).

We discussed doing it differently this year to save a few bucks (trophies are $10-12 each, times 80), however we we won't be changing things.

Why do we do this, even if it seems silly to give a 5th place trophy to someone who ran only 2 events in one class? Well, they aren't just trophies for a class, these are appreciation awards as well. We want to recognize the people that make our events possible. Those people tend to be the folks that run 5+ events and pay membership dues. We need regulars (even if they only come, drive, work and go home). Out of over 300 drivers this season, we will be awarding 80 trophies, not even 1/3. Worst case, 80 drivers time $20 times 5 = $8000 that we use to help pay our bills. That contribution does not go unnoticed!

So, to the 80 of you that came to 5+ events, THANK YOU!

Now, a request/offer...

Not everyone wants a trophy. If you do want it, then GREAT, we are thrilled to give it to you. But, if you don't want one, or simply plan to put it in a box for all eternity (or the trash), then please let me know so I can give you an award that is more appropriate.

This year, we're going to offer fun run certificates in-lieu of trophies. If you would rather get a few fun runs rather than a trophy, please let me know and I will be taking your name off the trophy list.

I'll award 2 fun-run certificates, each is good for free fun runs at one event (use it wisely, some events you only get one run, others allow more).

This is a limited time offer, once the trophies are ordered, the fun-run offer is void.

Thanks for your support!
