Atlanta Subaru Challenge, 10/30/04

So there was a Subaru Challenge in Atlanta, GA October 30th. We had a few people there, including...

Tom Hoppe, who won PRO class, had FTPAX, and almost FTD.

Mike Winn, who won STX, was 3rd in pax, and made it to the Superstar Challenge (top 32 drivers in pax each got 2 more runs which were added together to determine the winner).

Marcus McRae, who was 2nd in STU and made it to the Superstar Challenge.

Brian Herring, who was 3rd in STU and made it to the Superstar Challenge.

And Simon Wright, who was 5th in DS and made it to the Superstar Challenge (but he left early, so somebody else took his place).

I got 2nd place in STS in my daily-driver silver 2.5RS to a 2.5RS that was trailered to the event, was 7th in pax, and finally took my head out of my * to win the Superstar Challenge.

We rock!

Congrats Kevin and everyone!

I wish I had double-checked the plan - for some reason I thought they were only taking the top 16 for the day not the top 32 for the SuperStar Challenge.

Oh well. Had fun anyway.

Update: I didn't win the Superstar Challenge. A guy named Philip Gillett (who was driving the red 2.5RS at Danville last month in case anybody noticed it) won. The scoring folks screwed up the pax indices & gave him STS pax instead of GS pax. After correcting the error, I ended up being the first place loser.

I am so fucking annoyed right now... :evil:
