So who is runnig H-Stock next year, I am in the process of returning hte Del Sol to stock form, and due to some changes in my life might be able ot auto-corss quite a bit next year? I am probably just going to un aziens all year, I do own race tires... but there 4 year old victoracers with 1/2 tread left, I am sure they are hard as rocks. If now one is going to run H-stock I may just run the Tire class.

With the new classing that just came out, it's likely we will be in a different class/car next season, with HS being one of the possibilities. I don't know if you'll consider that good or bad news?

Jake should be laying the smack down again next year in the ole VW beater. That is if anyone else shows up for HS, towards the end of last yr everyone else bailed from the class.

Most of our HS cars weren't legal so the competitors all got scared away after a big fuss over it.

Based on that, I suspect you don't need to make your car stock to play David, might as well fit in with all the other people that are bending the rules.

LOL, Well I don't do that I belive every one should be legal to the letter weather local or not, plus I don't think anyone would let me get a way with threaded sleeves all around, I have took all the extra strut tower bars off yesterday and put the stock intake on, then only thing left is to put the stock springs back on which are on the way to my house right now. Now I will not protest any one if I see some illigeal stuff on there car, but I would suggest that they fix it.

Chuck, I just want competition, the better the competinion the more fun, heck I still think that any THSCC member should not run pro-class so everyone can directly compete with the best. Of course after three years off of taking this seriously I am sure I will be pretty rusty.

Also I was way more copetitve as a driver in stock than I ever was in street prepared, I swear I was slower in street prepared than when the car was stock.

Who's H Stock car wasnt legal?

I'm gonna try to be back in action for a number of autox's next year, especially if there will be a few people around in H Stock. I've really slacked off here at the end of this season. Mostly due to the rest of my life being way to busy. Hope to see you out there running hard in H Stock.

cough...missingbackbumper...cough

cough...misingheadliner...cough

Not that there was a competitive advantage from any of these things, just a squeaky wheel. If David brings his '90's Honda out to run HS he will have one of the newest cars in the class... Most of the older ones just have little things that make them slightly not legal. If the Frank's get a HS Cooper, then it will be a race for 3rd place anyhow. A decent driver in a Cooper > a decent driver in anything not a Cooper (assume they stay off the cones :))

I am not going to worry about a missing headliner and as I said I will not protest anyone on a local level.

I had the car pretty competitve in stock class even at a national level when I was driving well I manage to beat all the honda's in the stock calss (This was pre s-2000) which included Heyward Wagner and most of the underdogs, and finished about 1.5 secs behind Rick Cone in his brand new at the time celica, so I did not feel to bad about the performance of the car or the driver, of course the driver is the real question here :).
