Chuck - the first time you get to an event and the only thing you have to do is back it off the trailer and set pressures, you're gonna smile real big. Towing owns.
Yah, can't wait! It will be even a little bit better than that, because we'll be backing it
out of the trailer! (going enclosed, if we're going to do it, might as go all the way!).
One of the biggest issues is arriving at a prosolo event site on Fri after driving all night with the car fully packed, having to unpack the whole thing, worry about protecting luggage computer etc from the weather, change tires, make 6 practice starts each, change tires back, repack the entire car, walk course, go to the hotel, unpack car again, go find car wash/supper. On Sunday AM get up extra early (national events FCO is 8:00 AM on Sun.) pack up the car arrive at event site before daylight, unpack car again worrying about weather protection, most of the events this season were rain events, then repack car after the event before leaving. All that plus two or more tire changes per day makes you sore and exhausted, interfering with your concentration on driving. It was inevitable that GS was in the first run group...
Now all we need to do is find the funds to AC the trailer...
