Well, it did sprinkle for about 5 minutes on Saturday

So technically, the tradition lives on.
The event was a lot of fun. Tom Hoppe laid out a nice 30 second course that was similar to the last year's south course at the championships. If you remember, we ran something very similar at one of the RBC night events. The course had two nice sweepers which we never see enough of.
The turnout was very low, maybe only 125 drivers. I think I saw where over 2500 runs were made. Hoppe toke overall PAX with me coming in right behind him. But he cheated

I made my timed runs right out of the gate. Then changed tires and made about 15 or so test runs (I lost count) . I wanted to practice being fast out right from the start.
Overall, a very good event. The organization was first rate. This was probably the best 24 hour event I had attended. Not sure how the night was or Sunday, I headed back home around 7 Saturday evening. So for $30 I put over 20 runs on the car.
