Surely even the most ardent Subaru Guy must realize that fast or not, no Subaru will ever, EVER be as cool as a 73 911 with an 88 drivetrain.

Not ever. Sorry.

Actually, a LHD Impreza 22B in MY garage would be better than any Porsche ever built (unless I could sell the Porsche and buy a 22B).

:P

I can still go pick up grocery with a 31 years old Porsche that is as fast in straight line than an 2004 STi ( for less money)
Make head turn on the street like spinning top. Do autocross Raw time that speak for themselves. For Pax, the only Subaru that beat me this week end was driven by " Magic Tom ". And how about time on a race track.... Can a STi able to do that 31 years from now ?????

Patrice
That still like is old car more than ever.

You even type your accent! :P

Maybe I should take off the STREET TIRES off my subaru and put some race tires on to put the Porsche where it belongs  :)

Thanks for the people that helped with the event. I wanted to say Sorry about being a prick the entire day. I have a real bad morning, that just got worse and I felt like I was a total ass to everyone that talked to me. I finally felt better after I finally got to puke before the drive home :)

Tom, you welcome to try for Raw time but you will have to probably kiss goodbye to 1st Pax, because you will have a more realistic Pax index!!!!!

ESP.

I run on 225 street tires.

I would be allowed an STi with 100 more HP then my car, 275 race tires, and 2 more limited slip diffs with only 2 seconds to make up on a 60 second course ;) Easier to pax higher is what I meant.

I think Tom's car in present config with R compound Hoosiers (not race slicks, but dang close) would be in DSP, which has a .819 pax to your .849 pax.

Not sure which Prepared class he'd be in, but I'd guess DP which has a .844 pax.

Nah his blue WRX would be in ESP, same as the STi and the (bitchin') Camaros. IIRC the WRX got moved from CP to EP last year. Tough class.

Tom has Wilwoods, so those camaro's would protest him out of ESP.
