Maybe he meant Amen :D

I am so religious I can't even spell it right. Thanks Adam!

Jim, I think you fit the profile of a dislexic agnostic insomniac . . . someone who lies awake at night, wondering if there is a dog.

I gotta check in on this.
There is a place for organized prayer, but it's not, IMHO, at a THSCC driver's meeting. We're not in the business of sanctioning religious activities of any sort. That's not why I pay my dues and entry fees.

If a group of folks want to conduct their own services or prayer or handlin' of snakes, or ritual goat slaughter, no permission is needed from the Club. But to expect any special treatment or accomodation from the Club is also unwarranted.

If anyone feels the need for religious expression at an autocross, by all means, please do! But it is also clear there are many Club members who choose to leave religion and politics at the check-in gate.

Let's keep it that way.

One point of correction - Animal slaughter is not allowed at a THSCC event. Snake handling is, however, perfectly fine as long as the snake is kept on a leash.

I stand corrected, Mike.
I should have substituted holding a Coven or trancin' for enlightenment.
Ohhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm (take a deep breath) Ohhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....
Probably would help my concentration at the line... 8)

I really don't want to post this but being a moderator is not always fun....

I know you guys are just having fun with this, but can we please continue to try to keep this on topic if we continue this thread. There is no need for people on either side of this argument to use verbage that is most likely only going to push other people's buttons.

So please try to make your points in a respectful way. :D

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.
