Just curious. Post your car and weight WITHOUT you in it. Also if you care to, speculate about what you COULD get to legally in your class.

Please identify the car (or truck) you're talking about for people who don't know you.

I'll go first.
--------

DSP 1989 325is - 2725lb - tank nearly empty

Could do:
2675 easily (remove A/C and stereo)
2625 expensive or don't want to (wheels, tires, no rollbar, etc)
2575 very expensive (custom fabrication with lightweight materials)

Not on the Rockingham scales but "eat your hearts out": :D

Actual weight with 160 lb driver: About 1120 lbs on average with side to side corner weights within a couple of pounds.

Minimum allowed weight with driver: 1100 lbs. Getting to minimum would require several expensive upgrades including a few thousand dollars to switch to a newly legal aluminum head (save 15 or 20 lbs).

At this past weekend's ProSolo, the Celica came in at 2329#, with about 2 gallons of gas. Seats might save me another 12-14# total, while AC might save another 50#... and that's certainly not worth the savings in my eyes :) - AB

CSP 1974 Porsche 914 w/1/4 tank of gas 2025 lbs.

I don't think there is much left legally to remove for weight savings, best bet would be to lighten the driver!!
I wish I could have weighed it last year before I repaired the rust, bet it would have been under 2000, haha.

Edit-How do I change my signature?

1986 VW GTI.

2260 with a tad over 3/4 tank and the spare still in. (13 gallon tank).

figure 30 lbs for the spare. I could rip out all of the AC crap in the car that just doesnt work anyway. radio junk. Guess thats about it. Oh the car doesnt have a headliner since there wasnt one there when I bought the car and I can't seem to find one anywhere. But its like a 3lb peiece of cardboard.

CS9, 2000 Miata LS = 2400 with just over 1/2 tank gas and rollbar

What I COULD do to lighten:
Not forget I'm going to an AutoX when I gas the car: -35 lbs
Lighter wheels / tires: -20 lbs?
New cat-back exhaust: -10 lbs
Stop drinking beer, get off my arse: -15 lbs (oh, that's for the "loaded" situation only)

Not modifying anything so I have an excuse to not trophy: worth its weight in gold

3285 lbs 1/4 tank of fuel and spare tire. Not exactly svelte, but not too portly by today's standards.

2004 Subaru STi 3185 lbs with ~1/4 tank of gas (not sure if I had spare tire in trunk yet)

Could drop 10-15lbs by removing contents of center consol, floor mats stereo and speakers.

Less gasoline might save another 15lbs or so.

Lighter wheels and tires - ~10lbs.

Remove tire jack and tools ~5lbs.

Nearly empty my water from intercooler sprayer ~ 3-4 lbs

Empty windshield washer fluid ~3lbs

So my car could easily loose close to 35lbs, to be at race weight of 3150! :D

My STi weighed 3400 with me in it. I weigh ~170. I only had a couple gallons of gas left in the car.

I do not take anything out of my car.
