I think they're great. There are RWD, FWD, and 4WD cars. As for the RWD cars (which is what I mainly drive), they seem to behave realistically. Lift in a corner and the expected happens, etc. Even if they're not spot on, they definitely are a challange and it takes a while to learn them.
One thing I think is a mixed blessing is the myriad of adjustments that can be made to the suspensions. I guess its great if you know what you are doing, but personally I would rather have races where everyone is competeing on a level playing field, instead of being disadvantaged because I don't have my car dialed in for the current track as well as the next guy. Luckily its easy to swap setups, so if somone is cleaning your clock you can ask him for his setup

You won't be disapppointed. Never had Legends, although I heard the same thing.
