On www.myautoevents.com . Register early if you think you want to attend I'd expect they will fill fast once the word gets out. They are both being held at the two east coast AX mecas, #3 @ the "black lake" Michellin proving grounds SC ( the site of the 04 NCAC championship), and #4 at ACU4 the hovercraft pad in Norfolk VA. This will also be the best concrete site available to prepare for nationals.

I stay in Greenwood for the Lauren's events. It is about a 10-15 minute drive to the site. Check the Jameson Inn in Greenwood. The rates are pretty good.

As for VA Beach. I checked the Comfort Inn that is 1 mile or so from the site. If I remember right, it was over $120 a night :o And it did not look that nice from the outside. I will be staying at my brother's house.

Considering I sold Jim's brother a nice Miata, I will be staying there as well :) Seriously, I'm not sure where I'll stay, but I know that concrete seat time will be a must then. - AB

Which he still has. Although he just removed all the graphics from it. After two speeding tickets in it, he has decided to go stealth.

My brother doesn't have a couch! He has a freakin' Ikea swing as a couch. I am not sure where he got that idea from. Must be a Miata owner thing.

Do you need to be an SCCA member to sign up for this?

The web site doesn't offer much information on how the Laurens event is run.

For you guys that have done this before, what is the general schedule for the SE divisional events? Do you come the evening before for course walks or do them Sat morning? Number of runs? etc..

Anything a first-timer should be aware of?

Thanks!
