We are in need of an event chair(s) for the NCCAR AutoX on May 21st. The NCCAR events are usually on the track which makes for a more interesting and faster course that is more typical of a CircuitX. If you would like to take up the challenge please post a reply or PM me. There will be plenty of experienced people to help you create a fast and safe course so don't feel intimidated by NCCAR. This is the location where setting up may be more fun than competing. BTW, your hotel room will be comp'd.

I'm getting a little desperate here. If you have been on the fence about chairing an autox, this is an opportunity to do it your way. Not only is your hotel comp'd, but so is your entry for this event. If you have ever thought that you could do a course design better, this is your chance. If you hate chasing cones, chairing counts as your work assignment. All that you have to do is design a magnet, show up at about 2:00 PM on Friday, the day before, to set up, and make sure that the worker stations are set up with fire extinguishers and flags on the day of the event. As a bonus, you get to take safety runs, but more importantly, you get my eternal gratitude.

I'll tossed my hat in the ring.

I worked out an arrangement with my boss.

I unfortunately won't be able to make this one, somehow the schedule this year has lined up perfectly with all the one weekends a month Jessi gets off.

I managed to work in the July 2 day event though even though that one yet again falls on a weekend she has off. So I had to sacrifice one for the greater good of two events, lol.

I'm good with it. Rob and I will be there too. You two can be event chairs.

We had a scheme of NCCAR - North Carolina Cat Autocross Reboot. If you want something different send me and Rob an email with your idea.

I have found that the secret code word to get folks to volunteer to chair an event is “DESPERATE”. I got immediate responses to those whom I PM'd. I thank you very much for that. Those that could chair the May event unanimously said they would. I am in the envious position of having to narrow it down to two volunteers. The event chairs for May will be Chris Vasquez and Lee Williams. For those still interested in chairing an event, the July 17th autox at VMP is still open. Thank you all again for your quick responses to a desperate man. As a consolation prize for chairing the event, Chris and Lee get the opportunity to enjoy the exciting Friday nightlife in Roanoke Rapids. :D

She's been to NCCAR once already, I won't be able to pull the wool over her eyes again, haha.

Maybe I just need to make my way to Auto X VP and make the schedule to fit mine, lol.

Brice has done a wonderful job of getting events scheduled this year. He hasn't done the best job at making it fit his schedule. We get our sites as best as I can tell when they are available. This is a good opportunity to thank Brice for all that he has done this year. BTW, it's not as hard as you think to become an AutoX VP.

I'm not sure I really want that job, but I sure do appreciate the effort to all those who do it.

I was being a little tongue in cheek since obviously it's just happenstance that the schedule worked out this way. I got to run pretty much all the events last year and this year was just a off year. Which isn't such a bad thing since i'm trying to work the bugs out of a new car anyway, so it gives me some breaks to fix things as they come up without having to rush to make an event.
