THSCC Bracket Race at Rockingham
Saturday June 12th 6PM-12AM - The night before the autocross!

Come and try to be crowned the Drag Queen once again. Saturday is Rockingham's Midnight Drags night and we will again be having our own lanes for a THSCC bracket competition.

Entry fee is $15, $10 to watch. It's quite a fun night!

We're checking into whether we can leave cars there overnight for the autocross the following day.

THSCC has group rate of $59 at the Hampton Inn on US1 in Southern Pines for Saturday night. It's about 20 minutes from the site - but much nicer than the hotels in Rockingham. They had about 20 rooms left when I called earlier today.

What happens if we can't make it until later than 6? Can we still run?

I'll be there (watching, not driving) to see Ryan break his/my car so I can't run it on Sunday. Should be fun to watch though.

As the reigning "drag queen", all I have to say is, bring it! Now that I have a V8, you don't stand a chance! I do not intend to give up my queen's crown easily.

I'm thinking...

V-8, 4WD and automatic transmission. Probably don't even need to use the 4WD.

Should make for pretty consistent ET's!

I have seen the "Cool Bus" performance in person, it was quite an experience. I think we're going to need some NOS for the bus...

Do you really think you will even beat a *stock* STi?

Dan Ecclestone went about 105 mph in his F-Stock Camaro a few years ago... How fast is the talon in the 1/4 mile?

Driven properly I should beat a stock STi, Road and Track tested the STi at 13.3 in the 1/4. I have a 13.4 slip from last year right after I got my fuel computer. It was sooooo freakin' untuned then, my datalogger showed I was knocking like crazy.

I have her dialed in very good right now. A 12 second slip is easily within reach People have run 11's with the turbo on my car I know Hoppe ran a mid 12 with a car similar to mine (Same turbo).

As far as my trap speed, I have posted a 100.xxx but thats my weak spot, All my speed is in the first 60' (1.7 60' times on street tires )

BTW when I drove a schoolbus I could get the front wheels off the ground. I would yell "Dragrace" which was the kids cue to all move behind the rear axle. Reving the motor 'til valve float ( gasoline engine then) and a quick dump of the clutch would get some air under the front wheels.

No we were not hard on the equipment.
