 Post subject: Leith VW sponsors THSCC Autocross at Rockingham (June 13th)

It looks like we have a sponsor for the Rockingham autocross coming up. I had a meeting with the GM and Service Manager today. They are quite enthusiastic about sponsoring this event and possibly some events in the future. If you have a chance you should stop by their new facility in the Cary Autopark (behind Autopark Honda).

We haven’t ironed out all the details just yet, but here are list of items that Leith is planning on supplying:

- T-shirts and other VW paraphernalia for some class and PAX winners
- 10% discount for everyone at the event (applies to repair work and merchandise at Leith VW)
- A $1200 ABD Front Mount Intercooler awarded to the fasted VW (by PAX of course) for the day

All official details will be discussed during the drivers meeting on the morning of the event.

The most exciting part, in my opinion, is that the Service Manager will be attending the event driving the new 4Motion Golf R32. I can’t wait to see how this thing handles on course.

Cool. Too bad the corrado isn't turbo'ed. Chris, how about I let you beat me for say...$500, you keep the intercooler and I get $500. :lol:

It's a shame that the thing weighs 3400 lbs. Both R&T and C&D praised it, but it appears to me to be fairly heavy and the wheels are too big.

Also, that's just what I need -- an incentive for Chris Brown to drive faster.
