I've seen the buzz on FB, but nothing on the forums, so I thought I'd get some chatter started. To begin with, is this going to happenl? Have we inked the deal? If so, is there a MSR page on this yet? I hope we can make this one happen. I can dig a local event. We're just a hair over 2 weeks away from a presumed date of Nov 8th. So where do we stand on this one?

Contract is in hand and ready to be executed, we just had to work through the details with them. I will be sending out the MSR event link to members today to give them first pass since we will be capping at 100. Early next week we will make the event public on MSR.

If you are a member in good standing, you should see an email blast this afternoon with the private link.

Looking forward to it! This will be the first one that is close enough that my family will be able come out and spectate. I have a few non-member friends that that want to drive too. Once it is open to the public I will let them know.

I don't believe so, I'll check with the MSR literate folks today.

No, working on it.

For now, here is the preregistration link:

http://www.motorsportreg.com/events/ths ... ipEBk2FO71

PLEASE share this only with other members for now if they haven't seen the email (when it goes out), and share with them the fact that the link is to be shared with members only. If you have a new person that you are trying to get interested in autocross with this new site, you can tell them that the preregistration link will go live on Tuesday and to be ready and following the facebook event as it will fill up.

I do NOT want this showing up on our facebook group or anyone elses as we want members to have a chance to register first. With an entry cap of 100, and 158 responses to the event on facebook, we WILL have to turn people away in all likelihood, so lets give our members first shot at running a great new site. It's a great problem to have frankly, but one we haven't had to deal with since the advent of social media, so please do your best to protect our members ability to preregister first.

Thanks for all of your hard work making this happen. I would just mention that this phrase in the event info contradicts your above statement that only members should register. I have close friends that are not members, but I won't share it with them unless it is allowed. Either way is fine with me, I just want to point out that it is different.

We would prefer if people minimized marking the pavement, that was a discussion point that delayed the contract a bit. We will have a no burnout start (sharp pinch before the lights).

Please use the link below to preregister right away. The link is for members only until Tuesday of next week, 10/27, at which time the event will be made public and will be visible on thscc.com. If you have a friend or novice that you would like to bring, please let them know that the event registration will be posted on Tuesday and to make sure they are on top of it, as it will likely fill up.

When registration is open publicly, the event will show up at: http://thscc.com/index.php/calendar
