Hey guys, I won't be able to make this. My grandfather passed last night and I need to head up to PA sunday for the service.

Just giving a heads up so somebody can figure out somebody to do tech.

Chad, so sorry to hear about this. I hope you had a good relationship w/ your grandfather. I "sorta" knew mine.

In regard to tech, I can take this over if needed....

Thanks guy.

I only saw him a couple times a year, so we weren't real close, but the times we did see each other were good.

When the time comes for my mom's side it will be much tougher, I grew up with my mom's side on almost a daily basis, so we have a really close relationship.

I think the toughest part is talking to my dad about it, he obviously had a much closer relationship than I did, so it affects him much more.

sprinkle/stop, sprinkle/stop, dry! rain =( It was a true mix of weather. I think every run group saw some sort of wet. I ran 3rd run group and got excited about the sun peaking out. Then the rains came and ruined my last 2 runs. My 3rd run was wet and those worn out tires made driving the course a real challenge. I was happy not to get bit by the co-driver curse and beat out Tristan by less than a second in the mustang. Hoping I'm ready for this weekend!

As usual, great course. Nice to see all of those new cones in place!!

The wet runs were great fun if not fast, reminded me of tooling around British back rounds in the winter. There was a surprising amount of grip out there even with the standing water, don't know if it was the car or the Z2's, which I'm told are pretty good in the wet anyways.

Liz sends her thanks to Rob and Derek for the driving advice! Still need to parse through all the video and telemetry that was captured, but a quick review showed Liz and I areas of improvement.

Looking forward to NCAC!

Francis, the spectacular grip is a function of the amazing pavement at NCCAR. That site truly has the best grip of any in the state.

On now to one of the worst in the state. . . Zmax. Prepare for grip levels in the dry that are about comparable to NCCAR in the wet.

I had a great time yesterday after being away for the last few years. It was great to put the WRX through its paces for the first time. It's a completely different animal compared to my old 240 in a great way.

Push push push push push

(WRXs actually handle well and are a hoot, but it's a lot of car and the joke had to be made)

I was somewhat pleasantly surprised the two times I've been to Zmax this year. They haven't put down sealer this season, so the grip is better than before. Not awesome, but better. I'm no petrochemical engineer, but something about ZMax really agrees with R-comp tires as those *SP, SM* and *M cars go so much faster than street tires on that surface. (Yet another reason THSCC will never win Club Cup, but I digress :stick: )

Yeah I demonstrated quite well that it will push in the hard right near the end in the partial box. In the my raining lap, it was a strange feeling not to have the rear chase you everywhere. It was more of a controlled skate around the course. Fun times.
