Course maps are like GoPros to me. It's strange but on the events I pay no attention to maps or bringing the camera, I often drive better. Ironically, the new GoPro battery for my prehistoric Hero first-gen is in the mail via fleabay since the old one finally died. Maybe it's something about simplicity or lack of distractions. Paper course maps can be helpful for jotting notes or looking at between runs to remember where the mistakes were made, or just to show novices when you're instructing.

Course maps posted a week before the event are obviously fuel for criticism apparently. Might be a good idea to post the real course if we're not rocking the stop box.

Sooooo, we're down to 117/114 with five hours until Motorsportsreg closes up shop. Don't we have to have ~150ish to break even at Z-Max?

yeah, i get no value from course maps. I'm a visual learner. At this point it is what it is. I think the weather is causing a lot of the drop in registrants, the others are just mouths and probably would not have come anyway. they are just immature. :-)

We should have shut down the site earlier

With the potential for more registrations on the day, is any help needed getting everyone signed in?

wow, the forecast is absolutely sucking for this weekend. Looking at both weather.com and wunderground.com, 100% chance of rain, 3" on Sat and 2" on Sun w/ moderate winds. Between this and facebook, can it get any freaking better?

And I just mounted my ex-Rasmussen Z2s last night to get ahead of the game. Now I'm wondering if I'd be better off with my OEM A/S tires. They would certainly be an advantage in the stop box!

Mostly I'm not going to like getting wet. Anybody got a recommendation for foul weather gear? All I have is an old poncho and a nylon golf rain suit that I bought many pounds ago.

Oh, and what is a "W2W-geezer"? Should I be offended?

Here's to hoping the European hurricane model is correct and pushes out east into the Atlantic. We don't need a perfect storm this weekend.

I have to ask, if Joaquin or whatever hits the coast, are we still going to have this event? I've watched the registration go from 192 each day and now it's down to less than 80 each day. You need to let people know what we are doing....

I vote to reschedule if possible. Not sure what the implications are w/ zmax.

Considering there are only 76 people registered for each day now, I really doubt it.

There was almost 170 earlier today, and all of a sudden 100 people cancelled.

Brice has let people know via facebook we're keeping an eye on the weather, and will make a decision if need be. At this rate though, the decision may already be made. At what point do we lose our asses on this event with all the t-shirts and stuff we've printed up?

I don't really care either way, I have rain gear and my air filter is basically hood height, so i'm all set! lol. Unfortunately it is an open element though, but never had any issues with it getting wet.

Bunch of wimps, I installed a aftermarket cam into a 1987 Iroc-Z Camaro during rain from a hurricane back in my day!

Granted, I sure wouldn't do that these days, lol. I think I might have been 17 back then.

I see Zach issued the email from motorsportsreg that the event is cancelled. Probably the best call to make considering drivers were dropping like flies from the event and we were going to take a massive hit. I'm hoping zmax will work w/ us for a reschedule....

Thank you for making the call and letting folks know....

Agreed, I really don't want to stand in a down pour all day if I can help it.

At least I haven't seen anybody start another shit storm on FB, apparently everybody else agreed it was the right decision lol.

We suck so bad it caused a hurricane.

Somehow, us canceling an event that would have been witness to 10 inches of rain will still make us look bad.

Glad you understand how this works Scott :D

It was all part of our scheme to win the club cup, to schedule a Hurricane to knock NCR out of the competition.

you guys have any idea of when this might be rescheduled? I've got a few things planned in Oct, so depending on what your tentative schedule might be will decide if I can attend or not. I'd like to make this event....
