Looks like it might be a little wet tomorrow, make sure to bring some rain gear!

Sunday is looking really nice though and thank goodness for a couple cooler days.

Great event! Thanks to everyone who made this happen.

Special thanks to event chairs, Jordan, Rob, and Steven. Very fun, and challenging courses.

I'm sure everyone is tired of my excuses, but I've attached a picture of my tires for your viewing pleasure.

Nicely done! My front left took a beating in that sweeper. Typically we try and reverse courses for 2 day events to minimize that effect but we didn't this time, something we need to consider doing again in the future. All in all, a fun weekend, 6 runs each day, great raffle prizes, great weather, and fun courses. Great job by the autocross staff as well as some key volunteers who stepped up to make the weekend run well. Particularly Jordan Normark for driving the bus and setting up the course for Friday, Steve Spampinato and Rob Keehner for setting up the course for Sunday, Tristan McBride, Rob Lupella, Jenniffer Vance, and Zach Williams for helping do basically whatever needed to get done and Mike Miller and Maria Mayorga for stepping up and filling in as worker coordinators on Sunday. Also our timing and scoring crew for managing some oddities of AXWare, headed up by Carlton working through lunch on Saturday. I'll tally up the funds here shortly. If you had any expenses you are getting reimbursed for, please copy me on those emails to Bowie so that I can figure out what the fnial donation will be. Great job guys and gals.

Thanks to the event chairs & Brice for all the work involved for us to crank out 12 runs.

The courses were really fun although I managed two DNFs yesterday from not looking ahead enough after the first three-cone slalom. For some reason I felt it was a good idea to go around the left side of the following gate thinking the slalom was 4 cones. D'oh!

I managed not to DNF at all, but had at least 3 ride alongs in the first session which probably really helped me there. I did the same thing after the 3 lane changes on Saturday though with a gate on my 6th run. Going around the one on saturday actually shaved quite a bit of time off though instead of making it slower haha.

I'd like to thank Rob for co-driving the Camaro, it was a lot of fun having somebody else drive my car so I knew where my skills were, and obviously they were good enough to keep him from beating me in my own car, so i'll call that a win. Unfortunately I think we both agreed the tires got too hot by the last few runs on Sunday and the car would not hook up and the times were starting to reflect that. I rode with Austin which happened to be his fastest run and it was pretty clear the Continental DW's trumped my M/Ts, those things grip probably much closer to a 240TW or something instead of a 340 like they're rated. The M/Ts are rated at 300, just goes to show the TW rating on tires really doesn't mean much between manufacturers. I guess it makes sense though since the DW's are rated right behind the Michelin PSS which is supposed to be a awesome AutoX tire also.

The tires took a good beating with 22 runs putting on them so I should be well on my way to finding some better tires now, lol.

Also, thank you to everybody who worked hard putting this together! I think everything ran very well and both courses were a lot of fun! Sundays first sweeper was a blast to drive around, I loved that.

I thought at the time when I found out I was DNFing the "4th" slalom cone that it was due to my advanced age. Learning that there were many of us eases my mind. It looked for all the world at speed like it belonged to that slalom. Thanks to the course worker(s) who called it in so we quit doing it.

I'll add my thanks to everyone who worked so hard this weekend. I enjoyed both day's courses. I know how much work Jordan put into Saturday's course. Once I figured it out, it was fun and challenging.

Special thanks to Steve and Rob for stepping up and resetting the course for Sunday, while I was busy sitting at the pool getting my first cold beer in.

As a side note, if anyone knows how to get in touch with Omar, the guy in the black BMW, I have some raffle prizes for him. He left early and gave me his tickets, and I realized that both my raffle wins belong to him. Including a season pass for next year!

Good event and great course yesterday. Glad to see the tradition being carried on. I'd like to thank Oracle for making it an easy decision for me to make the event again this year and Stephen Westerfield for lending me his pony so I could beat on it like a rented mule. :D It was nice to be able to make good noises with cool yellow car at a THSCC event again. Hopefully I can make it out again next year.

I believe Omar said he'd be at the next event on Facebook.

I hate that I missed Sunday, I had fun learning how to set up a course. Makes me look forward to setting up NCAC!
Shame I missed the great return of Les Davis, at least I had a chance to see you on Saturday Les. I had a blast testing the course, would of loved to hit is at an more aggressive stance. Saturday's course was fun, but it beat me at times. I still loved every minute of it!

Chris, given the scare Omar gave you when he spun into your line Sunday, maybe you are entitled to his season pass prize :)

I managed to drive the 4th slalom cone on both my 2nd and 4th runs. I blamed it on a family tradition of absent-mindedness, but Les told me that it was just senility. After all, the cashier at Arby's Sunday gave me the senior citizen discount without me even asking for it. At least, I don't recall asking for it.
