If you were in Person county then you were on NC 57, but no, I didn't encounter a checkpoint on my trip home. I left during fun runs. There was one police car by the side of the road facing eastbound traffic as I entered Roxboro, probably a speed trap. Luckily the car in front of me slammed on the brakes when he saw the police car.

Sorry about your misfortune.

If you go through Roxboro, they do like to sit there, normally I have a radar detector but since it's illegal in VA and I don't wanna leave a 300 dollar detector sitting with my stuff I leave it at home.

I pretty much take 86 to 70, no issues here. Other than some idiot in a Mustang driving very aggressively, probably why it had no front bumper cover.

Sometimes I wonder how legal check points really should be. Especially if they're only looking for seat belts violations, registration, etc.

Yeah, I guess that is 57 right as you enter Roxboro. I like taking that route because it's a more fun than 86 but I guess I won't anymore. It wasn't a radar trap or anything- They had a road block up and were stopping every car and checking everyone's licenses, registration, and insurance.

There was a cop that came up behind me and set up right before a bridge on the way home while I was following Chad, but nothing more than that.

And that Mustang driver got a face full of finger when I blazed past him getting onto 85 - dickhead cut me off for literally no reason.
