Carl and I have been talking about possible event names for the upcoming Laurinburg auto-x. Some of our ideas are in the hurricane mode, since it's the season and on everyone's mind at the moment. I've also been thinking about historical references, such as to the site's role in WWII.

I was told that Laurinburg was a P-38 training facility, is that right?

Anyone have some good ideas?

I think Mr. Bill said they actually trained the WWII wooden glider pilots there. Didn't hear anything about P-38's though.
