Great event! Running group one was fun, especially watching the battle of the M3's.
I was a little scared at first when I saw the map with the pivot cone section because the turning radius on the ST is pretty bad (maybe the wide stock wheels are to play?) but the way it was set up was pretty fun and took some 'experimenting' to do smooth & quickly. My first run I hit first on both ends of the course but decided to stay in second from the 2nd run forward through the first pivot. Sweeping out a little wider left than normal helped get the car aimed in the right direction on exit seemed to work well and was second gear friendly.
The big slalom section transitioning into the tighter double cone slalom was great too. Totally overcooked it the first time, but it was a good section to remind you to make mental notes on what not to do (again).
Working down at finish during group 3 was a hoot watching the cars' different lines and downshift/brake points. Plus, seeing the timer was bittersweet.

There must have been a half dozen ways to get through there. I only saw one car DNF that section, so it flowed well. Some people really don't like pin/pivot cones but I've never really minded them but that's probably due to autocrossing at sites like Greenville, NCCAR (vda only), and all the other Danville courses that used it right at the first section on the taxiway.
