You are winning Cone Killer, though.

While I was entering each event's Cone Killer results into the spreadsheet, I couldn't help but notice the set of top 10 Cone Killer drivers at each event was almost completely different.

That's because Jeremy isn't at these events anymore :).

Hey now, I was going to leave well enough alone and not run the new report against the files from the last couple years. It might be interesting to see if the reputation has merit.

Was anyone working the heat last weekend when one of the 6 red NC miotters (the one labelled Nov HS) took out about a half dozen cones on each run? Kudos for staying tight though! :P

It wasn't mine. It was an older gentleman who had never Autox'd before. I rode with him and he had a difficult time keeping track of the course. After it was over, he came up to me said that he had a great time. That's all that really matters.

I've just updated the season points standings with the results from the Jimmy V two day event, with each day scored as a separate points event.

Sorry for the delay on this!

The delay was due to a technical issue between our version of AXware and the version of AXware used by Triad, whose computers ran T&S for the event. There are some differences in the way Triad generates their results that I was hoping to be able to account for by opening their files in our AXware. Mainly just to make the results easier to read while I enter them into the spreadsheet. However, I bit the bullet and entered them using their generated results. My eyes pretty much bled all over the couch. It wasn't pretty.

The underlying technical issue that prevented our AXware from opening their results files is also blocking me from running my Cone Killer report. It would also spell the death of my Instant Results project if it can't be addressed. Basically, AXware is now using a ridiculously weak encryption scheme within their internal results. I'm sure it's nothing I couldn't reverse engineer in time, but the legality of circumventing it is unclear, so I'm not so inclined to publish something like that with my name on it. Which is super frustrating, because the encryption scheme they use is a joke. From a few minutes spent conducting a known text attack^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^Hresearching it, I've deduced that it's just repositioning characters within each line of the file.

We've contacted AXware about it, and we're going to try to resolve the issues.

Triad also has a few custom systems of their own that are affected by this change too, and I understand we're coordinating our efforts with them.

It's really not OK that they're trying to lock clubs out of their data.
