Reminds me of a car featured in the very first copy of Hot Rod that I got at aqe 7: A 1964 Chevelle with a WWII Allison aircraft engine. Google found photos of it:

The firewall in that car is even more intrusive than the one in my car.

Yeah I'm getting pretty psyched. I've been looking forward to this for weeks.

Good, there was talk of having no WCs and I know we need to get that printer rocking and rolling :).

I'm going to try to make this. I'm leaving the following Monday for 2+ weeks on a 2500 mile motorcycle/camping trip.

I'll likely bring the Bullitt. The Mazda needs a clutch and I pretty much burned up the front tires at VIR - Guess I should have rotated them. Oops! I kinda feel bad since I've been entrusted as the third owner of these tires.

Cash, you joining us? I didn't see you or the bullitt registered yet. Man, you've got to make this one....

To the ECs...

I am not sure which part of the track you plan on using, but if at all possible could you avoid using the chicane area near the access road that heads back to the paddock area? That spot is maybe 20 ft from a seriously steep and potentially harmful ravine, and several folks got kinda close to it on occasion last season. Still creeps me out thinking about it.

Thanks!

Already taken into account considering the amount of novice drivers we have....

Yup, I brought this up this morning. I think going forward it would only be acceptable to use this going in the opposite direction (given the lack of ditch on the other side). However, given what I know of the course design, it's not being used at all.

Holy cow...that was a fun course yesterday! I don't think I was ready for a braking zone that required dropping from 80->10mph over ~150 feet into that pivot....my car is still mad at me, and I may need to flush my brakes! A pre-emptive replacement of my PCV valve may also be in order....

Thanks to the veeps and ECs for another great outing. James, that was an epic way to finish up your stay with the club! Hopefully will have video and data up later today of your FTD/P run.
