As the course designer, in retrospect, I will agree that the offset slalom was maybe a tad fast. (But it was fun) Any future design should consider this as a reference.
I saw one of the car spin and it was the same kind of car that we had spinning before in other events in similar high speed transition and hitting the timer. To me, that car is a little unstable.

(I will take every chance I get to say that this car is unstable so keep spinning them out).
One of the things I learn over the years in designing course is no matter how you think the course is safe there always be someone that will try to prove you wrong.
Patrice, If I hadn’t screwed up, I wouldn’t have said anything. It was a very fun and memorable course. The problem is never the novices, but people, like me, who have some experience and they think that they can push it just a hair more. I could have and did on my last run. It’s usually a matter of timing. When one gets late on a slalom, it’s hard to pull it back. The NC Miata is fairly neutral, but on Saturday was set up on the loose side of neutral. I used to keep it a little pushy, but Anders has improved to the point where I don’t worry about him in a car that’s a little loose. I look forward to the next course that you set up.
