If I recall correctly, you have not yet lived down the time you were beaten by a Leaf - http://thscc.com/autocross/events/2012/ ... s.html#TIR :P

Next time you see Brice, you better have a really good lead on a new autocross site!

The novice school and June event are at least posted on MSR.

The Leaf has 2.14x more torque than the 2, and it's available at 0rpm. That, and I may have encouraged Chris to go faster by telling him what my time was.

I already talked to Brice about a good lead on a new autocross site. :P

Kickarse!

After running Cherry Point, we need another airport site, badly. There's got to be a small airstrip within 60 miles of the Triangle that doesn't run on Sundays.

VIR's skidpad.

It's small, but I think we're in official "beggars can't be choosers" territory now.

They will probably want about $2500 to rent it too. And it is small

Didn't they pave the north paddock?

Been auto-crossing on and OFF for a while now, yet I find myself driving more OFF than ON.

I think you have to rent VIR-N to get the North Paddock, unless you run the event on a Tuesday in Janary.

The skidpad is small, and there's no paved area for grid and paddock.
We've hosted autocrosses on the skidpad, but for other groups, like charity events for the Danville hospital and a press-intro event for Ford SVT.

Here's Ryan's Focus SVT in its former life as a press day demonstrator :)

I was at a couple of those events we ran on the VIR skid pad. Unless they've added more pavement, it wasn't worth the drive up there. I'd rather run on just the VDA at NCCAR.
