Fun course that was very technical. I was fortunate to get a good last run in, otherwise my better half would have taken me to the woodshed. As it was, Chris was only 2 tenths back. Whenever she beats me I have to buy her dinner wherever she wants, so that was a close call :-)

Also, good runs for Jennifer Bedell (P11 PAX) and Karl Shultz (P17) making their maiden voyages in new cars (JJ in the Spyder, Karl in the Miata).

Thanks guys and sorry about the timing issues. Will be discussed at tonight's monthly meeting for a better audit system when computer goes haywire!

Great event. Great course. Awesome site!

I'm really liking the new setup on the Mazda6. I just need to get better at learning the course quickly. It always seems to take me 4 runs to figure it out. My last run was almost a second faster than my previous best and I felt there was still improvement to be made. Shouldn't be making that big of an improvement that late in the game.

Visualization. Seriously. Don't chat during one of the coursewalks and really focus on memorizing the course. Write it down if there is no map. Then while sitting in grid, visualize yourself driving it. Seems goofy, but it works.

Dad beat me, even though my runs were really primarily clean.Dad hit cones, but still managed to pull out faster raw than me. By 1.3 seconds.wow. that i was within 1.5 seconds of him, when he was not on his game, is good. But results are results,he beat me. Man the car was running like a top, coolant leak again. Not german mismanufacturing, old hoses.very old hoses, had problem similar at cmp.1987 hoses, 2014 driving. OH WELL!
The car ran like a top,not only e30 there, but only one in dsp.Another one was in another class up, but whatever.Good course, awesome grip, little gritty, but to a rallycross driver...That was awesome grip.I like our e30 alot,Tough old car.

Walk with my father, he and I have been doing it so long,we really walk it like we wanna drive it. Even walking like this side and that, and walk it two or three times..Hard for me, Im used to ruts telling me everything.Walking right line on course is also helpful, only turn around when you know where on course you are.Concentrate alot on walk, like he said, visualize where the car should be and what will happen.Know your car, know your tires,I used ot do this years ago when we had maps.No more, each run you think about what happened out there.. Think about how you can change what you did,in rallycross, everything is added up..So you need to be more conservative..Autocross for me I go nuts,No cones added up, only for That run. But, analyze each run in your head, visualize what you see as a line on the ground, walk what line you want..Know what you think will happen at a certain point, pay attention to what camber the road is, what the traction conditions are, everything.
