James,
The standard diff for Mustangs is the same clutch type which has been used for years. Some versions, however, are available with the Torsen AND 3.73 gears. Per prelim Ford specs this will be the case for 2015 also.
Chuck,
The car you linked is an almost bare bones GT without the Track Package. That means per the window sticker and my "Mustang Nut" knowledge that it has the normal 3.31 diff with clutch type lsd. Also, it comes with 18 x 8 inch wheels with 19 x 8.5 optional. The Track Package and the Brembo brake package come with 19 x 9 wheels. The Track Package also gets 3.73 and the Torsen.
Without seeing the sticker for the car Art mentioned I don't know if it really had the Torsen AND 3.31 gears versus a typo on the web page since Ford doesn't show that as "possible", even though it would be what I would want along with the other good stuff that comes with the performance package.
The issue with 3.73 gears in a 5.0 autocross Mustang is that second gear tops out at only 60 mph with stock diameter tires versus 68 with the 3.31. My automatic has taller overall second gearing but with the short 18 inch tires it was rev limiting (6800 rpm) at 66 mph also at the finish at NCCAR and hit 60 on the straight after the pivot cone and I was traction limited in second gear out of the pivot until the car was through the little kink.
If anyone is shopping for a 5.0 stick axle Mustang and would like some info on what the factory combos were/are I have lots of that info. TMI for this thread.

Chuck,
For FS it will probably require the next Mustangs to be substantially better than the current ones in order to have a chance against the BMW's.

However, I clearly have a lot to learn about driving an FS Mustang even close to its potential.
