Can you guys give me a sense of what kind of speeds the courses at NCCAR entail? If NCCAR is becoming our go-to site, I'd like to use that information to help inform my next car purchase.

The last course we did there the speed at the finish in my Z06 was 90  Through the course though it was mostly standard AX speeds. We cone the course down to make it less track event like. The perfect car is probably an S2000.

You are probably OK for most of our venues with a later model Miata/MR2/generic Honduh for the speeds we are running. The NCCAR courses are not really faster just different

Sounds like fun in a Mustang automatic. 2nd except for the finish. Whee! The formula car 4th redlines at 90 without changing to a road race gear.

I'm pleased to note that of 23 entrants preregistered for NCCAR on March 1:

7 are driving Mustangs
6 are driving Hondas
6 are driving Mazdas

And as expected, I'm the only entry in F-Street.

I'd be there in F-street if I could make it on that date, especially to NCCAR. :(

If the Mazda isn't back together, I'll be running F-street in the Bullitt.

Wow! For a change I won't be first and last in class at a local event. However, no hope for fastest raw time either.

Is 50 any existing FS runners normal number? If not 50 is mine but I'm the new guy (if you don't count decades ago) and will happily defer to you.

I had thoughts of running the Bullitt in FS the whole season, but I really need more shakedown time in the Mazda before heading to VIR. Once I sort out ride height, swaybar settings, corner weights, etc, I'll probably track the Mazda and autocross the Bullitt (and quit modifying the Mazda!). Here's my shakedown schedule leading up to VIR:

Autocross - Feb 2 at VMP
Autocross - Feb 23 in Greensboro
Autocross - Mar 1 at NCCAR
Autocross - Mar 15 in Wilmington
Autocross - Mar 23 in Winston-Salem
Track - April 5 & 6 at VIR

Yes, you should see a lot more of me this year (if you can stand it). :sing:

Cash

If I ran that schedule, I'd be focused on building a new dog house for me to sleep in. I'm envious you have the leeway to play like that...

My co-worker's brothers. They have been to events on and off for a few years. Usually in a MR2 with their father.
