In our discussions Friday amongst officers, we came to the following conclusions after a couple beers, Jeremy's dogs engaging in chemical warfare against us, and some spirited debate.

-THSCC will adopt the SCCA's Street Classes for 2014. In doing so, we will eliminate the current "TIR/RT" class.
-We will adopt the CAM class for our events as one class, but will exclude 2 seaters from the class
-We decided that given the extremely low numbers it has seen over the past years, and the practical consideration that really it makes no sense, Ladies class will be no more
-Season long Novice competition will be allowed, and continue as it did in 2013.
-Old Farts will live on as is. We thought about trying to lower the required age so Rodney could qualify, but figured that was just mean (oh wait, was mentioning it here mean too? My bad).
-The most heated debate of the night was with regards to class bumping, which will remain as it currently is (no bumping). We liked the idea, but the implications in season points get very confusing.

Whine away, we're "listening". . .

Dammit, 3 more years of waiting to get into OF

So now that CAM is an official class, who's going to drive in it? The mustang is still prepped for STU and CAM allows for some serious money hemorrhaging... Have to wait to hear what others are doing.

Also to note: No ASR, BSR,...HSR classes for 2014. The only Street R class will be SSR and that will be for both this year and onward (unless there is a change but I somehow doubt it.

This is the thought I had. I suppose if it came with a bench seat originally, it's technically more than 2 seats?

McLaren F1 style seating in some American iron? Haha.

I think that CAM is neat, but it seems like it should be renamed to the Money Pit class. *drives a "street prepared" Miata* Yeah....

Just curious, what age was considered? To see if I will have make it.

I have no dog in this argument. Just a BTW PSA, NCR is changing as well as I know several of you compete with us throughout the year.

For the 2014 Season we will be grouping classes and giving trophies based on the Pax. Pax Groups are laid out below. this will give everyone more competition as you will compete against people in different classes. Since there are fewer classes for trophies we will give out more spots (top 5 instead of top 3) depending on how may participants are in each class (also see Below). To be clear this is for the Day of trophies only. The Year End trophies will be based on the classes just as they have been in the past.

New Pax Classes
Street -SS, AS, BS, CS, DS, ES, FS, GS, HS
Street R - SSR, ASR, BSR, CSR, DSR, ESR, FSR, GSR, HSR
Street Touring - STC, STF, STR , STS, STU, STX
Street Prepared - SSP, ASP, BSP, CSP, DSP, ESP, FSP
Street Modified - SMF, SSM, SM
Modified/Prepared - AM, BM, CM, DM, EM, FM, XP, CP, DP, EP, FP, GP
Novice
Pro
Ladies
Jr. Karts
Karts

Trophy Thresholds
1 trophy - 2 entrants
2 trophies - 3 entrants
3 trophies - 5 entrants
4 Trohipes - 10 entrants
5 trophies - 15 entrants

Are you guys going to run the new proposed CAM class? From what you've listed, it doesn't sound like it....
