I liked piedmont. I designed the course and did the best that I thought we could to get some distance(time) and a some what smooth course. It was ok in the Miata but I would not take the cart there. I would attend in the BRZ or steal the RX8

The blind up hill transition from the open area to the 2nd part of the course was a lot of fun  Reverse that course though and I think I could catch air there...or would that be considered a DNF

The only thing nice I can say about Piedmont are that the bathrooms were fabulous. :-) Of course my opinion doesn't matter any more so carry on.

Piedmont is an awesome mid dog day of summer site. Plenty of pit space, shade, eats, and elevation. Not to mention the Les Davis approved rest rooms! Who knew such a dilapidated building would nourish such a clean, hotel like restroom? It was a porcelain palace in stealth mode.

Yeah the pavement can be bumpy and giddy, no more grit that the dying pavement at Danville :( . It is a close site to Raleigh-Durham that we cannot ignore. I think we need a summer event there. My back still hurts from driving Jordan’s Miata there, I am interested to see what my car will feel like there.

WRX then, just burn up some tires. or, borrow some not too bad tires for the golf, and wheels and all. and run the rally cross golf at the rough site. its not fast, but it sits up plenty high, and you can laugh at our three legged cornering stance ala golf.
