Sweet, the March Dixie event is a regular tour event! I didn't care much for the Match Tour format.

March 15-16 is on my calendar. Who else is going? :D

I hoping to do Dixie, with Jonathan Roberts co-driving, assuming I can get shocks built in time *and* get cruise control installed. Chris and/or Jennifer may try to make it as well. The next weekend I'm hoping to do the Pro Solo in Blytheville. I'd like to find out quickly if the Spyder appears to be competitive in E Street. The earlier the better for getting data points.

I assume that it was given that the NBs are stuck with 225 at the widest for street tires whereas the NC and 350/270z and Solstice/Sky can run 245-265mm tires?

I suspect it was also to reinvigorate a class well on the way to being solely populated by 20+ year old cars. What will also be interesting to watch is how much faster (if any) the Mazadspeed MX5s are vs the Rest.

The Mazdaspeeds are the heaviest Miatas and have a pretty useless power bump. I don't expect them to do better than NB2s or other cars in that class.

True, but it seems to have the better power/weight ratio and better Street class suspension than other NBs. More likely is that apparently 2d gear in the 6-speed tops out at 47-48mph, requiring a *lot* of shifting for almost any course. I bet that makes it harder to drive fast vs the 5-speed cars

Doesn't mean squat when 2nd gear is 47mph and the turbo doesn't spool until 4k rpm.

e: also 215/45R17 tires or a downsize to 16" tires.
