I said the world was coming to an end when Rodney drives a BMW and didn't like it.

FYI in regard to Pony Cars, C5 Corvettes, and a few others: Pony cars are moving to STU and C5 Corvettes (not including the Z06) will be allowed in STU. Also for anyone "serious" about a Pony car in STU the watts link rule will allow diff cover changes next year.

A potentially more important item for Pony cars is a serious proposal has been made to the SEB for a "Pony Car ST - aka STP" class that would also allow "Pro-Touring" prepared old Pony cars. Rumor has it that there is a lot of SEB interest.

Watch Fastrack and maybe RRAX and SCCAForums.

Jordan seems to have a Steve McQueen No BS persona at times. I can see him in one….No? :D

I drove Rodney's STX-ish white Mustang and enjoyed it....though I think it needs a bit more torque...it's no S2000. :sing:

:D Indeed. It has a back seat for kids, power, reasonable room, good road manners, style...what's not to like? (Honda lovers, It's a rhetorical question  ) Once we get settled into our new home, I can start making some plans. BTW, Thanks for persuading me to light em up Rodney, Mustang lover or not, that will put a smile on your face

The sound is what puts a smile on my face. Rodney's has mufflers, mine doesn't.

I have long been a camaro guy. I rather like the new camaro, i have test driven at car expos the v6 and the ss v8. I think that if the v8 camaro ss cna run with a m3 on track, with the 1le handling package. For half the price, then my pride for America has certainly returned as far as cars..IF they can make the gt500 mustang be able to withstand all the power, I think that will be a fierce car on track. I understand though that right now, you can burn up the brakes very quickly on one at vir. Not personally, but on redline video, or drive video on youtube. One guy took a gt500 around vir and the brakes let go quickly.
The solid axle I t hink would make life interesting for either car on gravel.

Jordan's not the only Miata enthusiast in the club who drove a Mustang recently and liked it.
I took a new GT for a test drive last week and liked it way too much.

Jordan knows that there's no replacement for displacement. Look at his Miata: 1.9L of fury.

The only "problem" with 5.0 Mustangs and similar high HP and Torque cars is how little time you get to spend at anything close to full throttle. There are worse problems to deal with in life. :sing:
