Can you offer up some details of what you're planning?

The plan is 2 to N of us are taking Friday the 4th off and going karting at MMX. The N part is what I'm trying to figure out so that maybe MMX will give us a group rate or maybe have them manage a race or two for us.

This is a great idea. Beginning spousal negotiations now, and have the time off already set. Fingers crossed!

Ah the rigors of spousal negotiations….I know them well.
I might be able to do it, how much?
Anyone else already made reservations at the NCAC hotel?

Having (temporarily) bested my spouse in diplomatic negotiations I am in for karting if this is istill happening. I am off all day Friday, so I can get there earlier if there's an early start.

Looking forward to it!

Those who have been before, please correct or chime in as needed...

Looks like they are open until 8pm on Friday. Tech/registration is at the hotel 5:30-8:00. The pricing is $65 for three 10-minute races, includes helmet and neck collar rental (unless you have your own closed face helmet, right? No non-visor helmets allowed?)

Seems like we could get there around 3pm, three races puts us at maybe 4:30ish, then register/tech at hotel, clean up and meet for dinner?

Thoughts?

I know Jeremy, Zach, and Noah are taking Friday off so we'll probably get there early...around noon or so. I think they have like a 10 pack of racing for $200 that you can split between people as long as it's used in one day.

Jeremy should chime in as he knows more about MMX.

I think we should get there at noon, or maybe early afternoon. The best deal is the 10 races for $200. I was thinking about doing at least 5 races. This gives us some flexibility if we want to take brakes between heats. As Noah said, it really is the best kart track within 200 miles.

If we have a bunch of people interested, I'll call and enquire about doing a private event, but as of now it sounds like we have ~5.
