So Jeremy, Noah and I did the 3 hour enduro yesterday at MMX and it was awesome. We got 2x 30min stints each and 30 min didn't feel like enough.
I'm pretty sure on Oct 4, we should buy a couple $200 10 packs and just split them amongst the folks there. Jeremy and I are probably going to get there early and do some test drives of some real racing karts.
The only disappointing thing about yesterday is that, even though the karts are all pretty new, there is definitely major performance discrepancies between the karts in terms of power, handling and tire grip. My hope would be that they keep that in check better (hopefully better than VIR rentals which are very inconsistent) but alas it wasn't the case. Granted for the enduro, they mandate kart changes for every driver swap (5 of them) so hopefully that, on average, evens out the field.
We were within 5 seconds of Donnie, Eric Peterson and Jonathan until Noah spun, but we only lost maybe 10 secs there and Eric was probably averaging 1.5-2s better a lap than me during our stint which would have resulted in being 1 lap down after 28-30 laps but somehow we ended up 3 laps down which just isn't possible so our transponder must have missed a lap or two

. It was a hellava lot of fun nonetheless and now Jeremy has me thinking about getting a real kart....
