I had a Chevy that did that. The dealer told me that it was that darn Rottenchester carburetor. I assume that yours has a Holly/Webber 2 barrel. Those should be ok in the corners. We put one on an Alfa 2000 to replace the worlds worst fuel injection system and it worked well. We also had one on my girl friend’s, now wife of 34 years, Pinto. That doesn’t count since it had bias ply tires, no G forces could be generated. If this happens at WOT, then it’s probably the bowl for the secondary. Your Dad is old enough to remember how to adjust float bowls to minimize the problem. It could also be gunk leaving you very little volume in the float bowl.

This thread has taken a life of its own while I was away! Right down to the "I knew someone who had one of those!" I get that a lot with most of the dinosaurs, as it were, I drive on a daily basis. No insults intended! So I ran in E prepared Sunday and was astounded at the cars capabilities. I could not believe has well it did, so well in fact I am thinking about making it an AUtoXer first and an ITC car second. May even buy some tires that are not 6 year old RA1's! =) SO the next step is to do some hard research to class the car for realsies. It sounds like you guys have already done that for the most part though, is FSP the decided place for the car to go?

That type of carb is totally unlike the carb on the Nissan.

I'd love to see it in E-Prepared at future events. Performance-wise this past weekend it looked pretty similar to the Duff car, which I usually run in E-Prepared by myself.

My understanding of SP classing is that removal of interior trim, removal of interior seats, removal of fender liners, door lightening, window removal, fuel cell, and a bunch of other race-car stuff is not allowed, so I run the Duff car in Prepared.

Read the entire thread, if its legal for ITC, its legal for FSP.

I did read that, but I'd still like to see it in E-prep, primarily because then there would be somebody else in the class. Unless I'm planning on being competitive at a national level (which is not in my plans, and probably not within my capabilities), I don't worry about classing too much if it's not going to hurt anybody.
