FWIW, The last time I drove through, they just took hold of my IDs and handed it back without looking at it, but I don't think that's the case for everyone. Probably depends on who you get at the gate, I suppose. I doubt driving up and not having a way back (co drive) is a good risk to take.

Been several times, one time never checked passengers, one time check every one, one time got "extra" service because my tags on my truck were out(totally forgot)!

I hate to say this but you should have registered earlier. If the base starts catching a bunch of folks "sneaking in" they very well might tell us to GTFO. Base PMO does not care about SCCA or autocrossing

It does look like I can make Sunday :)

Yeah Blair, this absolutely. Stinks, but it is the way it goes. And this site is worth protecting for NCR so we have to stay strong on this stance.

the e30 may yet live again, the distributor cap was busted, arcing across to a screw on cyl 5, so we ordered a new one. if this fixes it, we will take the e30 to race. If not, my wrx. We will see... 8)

Are you leaving Saturday night or early as anything Sunday morning. I was looking to leave around 5a Sunday morning.

Yeah, Planning on a 5-530 am departure as well. My sleep schedule is so messed up from night shifts, waking up at 4am is no problem! :stick:

Well. Woke up, checked the wearher radar and saw that rain/thunder was forecast 40% all day, and knowing that the event yesterday was cut short for lightning, decided to bag it. Now, the weather forecast is 0% chance of rain until 3pm. :stick:

The words "giddy" and "6am" should never be used in the same sentence.

I was wondering where you were. You just do not know how good of a course you missed out on. Probably one of my most favorite courses, evar. 6 runs and I was headed off site at 3:40pm (I got the lucky B shift of work->run->break->work->run->haul ass home).

Thanks for rubbing it in :stick: I saw Matt's video and it looked awesome! I kicked myself all day for bailing out. Now I know I'd rather risk driving to the site and enduring a rainout than not going at all.

Edit: oh, and the Weather Channel can suck it.

you missed me racing on 10 year old tires, and spinning every run in a different spot. 59 oh 3 or so, was my best run. clean.the other runs were accompanied with the car arguing over who was boss. e30 is tail happy anyway, and with bad tires is spooky. Any one got 15 inch 225 tires street type for sale. a skyline r32, no joke was there too.among other crazy cars.was fun, humid and hot but fun.A guy with a sentra ser spec v, a car i almost bought when searching to replace my old ser.
great car, has a wrx, and he wants to rally cross with us, so eyes open in wilson. I did my job recruiting people, the skyline guy wants to do hpde and time trial, get this, the car is rhd.sweet stuff, seriously heavy foot, should be good.

A little bit of course perspective...

Fun time for sure and we really lucked out with the weather and got six runs using split run groups. Can't wait until the co-event in August & props again for making that happen.
