For tomorrow, I think we are covered, but if you wanted to help/witness the EV challenge, their acceleration event starts at 1:45, followed by the range event. We will he doing course setup after the range event, likely around 3:30ish.

Everyone, I just got an email from Sam True. Please hold off on your plans until I give official word. There is going to be a somewhat trick ingress/egress policy this weekend.

Sneak Preview:

Only Brice, Chris Suich and ECs will be allowed in tomorrow ( we can maybe make Rob an EC). When EV activities are going on keep, all THSCC cars in the paddock (not the little dirt lot near the VDA).

On Sunday, only EV volunteers are allowed on premises until 9-10 (I'm bargaining for 9). Once the that timeframe opens up, THSCC event participants MUST leave cars in paddock. Do not drive towards the track at all until you drive.

The gate code and instructions will be further fleshed out and posted here and via email.

Wow, that's interesting. Wonder why all the tighten-up? This is much more restrictive than in the past. Could this be the end of us using NCCAR? I think I'll bring my bike on Sunday.

Stop rumor mongering Rodney (and get out of the bus). Nothing to worry about there. They are always glad to have us, but with fewer staff than years past, its better to limit the number of people on site a bit until things get going.

Rodney, no worries. Sam is the only employee at NCCAR now and he is just being cautious :) coupled with the last few times a lot of people drive down to the VDA unnecessarily. We will strictly limit this to officers and only after 11am tomorrow.

I had heard Simon had left last year. That's heck of a place to run by yourself. Maybe Sam needs some help, I've been looking for change....

Ok here is the deal:

Saturday, Brice, Chris and ECs will be there for EV help and course setup. ECs, if you get there before the EV festivities are complete, please leave your cars in the paddock.

Sunday, from 7-8am (approx) THSCC volunteers will be allowed in and will get an NCCAR waiver/wristband for entry. Please proceed to paddock and park your cars and walk down to VDA to help get things setup and work the course etc.

Sunday at 9, we need to have a gate worker at the security building just inside the gate doing THSCC AND NCCAR waivers and wristbands. All THSCC volunteers should seek out the THSCC specific waiver and wristband before our event starts please!

So for event participants not helping with the EV event, please do not show up until 9 at the earliest. Once you do show up, DO NOT drive your car any further than the paddock. Please park your car and walk down to watch the EV event and/or register.

The only time a car should be near the VDA or course is if it is running in an active run group or a select few staff/officers. Do no drive up for registration or tech. Tech will be in paddock.

Gate passcode: 963258#

James,

Having only been to NCCAR for private rentals I want to get the terminology down. I assume by paddock you are referring to gravel lot on the left side of the road leading down to the track (after you go through the second gate) as opposed to the area up near the main building?

Gravel lot on left == paddock

Those that miss running at Greenville will feel right at home tomorrow.

I had a lot of fun here today and so did the friend I brought along. Props to the people organizing the event, It looks like they would have gotten home pretty late.

This was spot on: Spinny course + deceptive sun = Greenville.

Good event, I had a good time.

Great event. The EV event was a blast, I felt like a coach, I really wanted to see the kid I instructed win. Thanks to Brice, Mary, Ryan and the Westerfield's for making all the preparations the evening prior and this morning before us workers got there.

Awesome driving James Speed Secrets Short. Chuck, It was fun to watch you working those new Rivals on your M5 which looks a hell of a lot like an M3
