It really is annoying that I'm back to my old habits of not having a single clean run. Steven, this is how I got into the trap of trying to get a safe run in the bank early. I'd figure I'm GOING to be dirty, so I may as well have something to sit on. So frustrating.

Anyway. It seems like the takeaway is that James ran the sweepers tight, and Chuck ran them wide. Both of those guys were fast. :?

edit: for comparison, I was nearly WOT at the center Cbox cone and exited at 35 mph. Karl's fastest run has him WOT a touch later, exiting at 37mph.

If you're talking about the 46.2xx that I did, that run was plus 2. I don't know where both cones were hit. One was a stupid one in the slalom going out. The second I didn't even know I'd hit. Probably exiting that c-box, just like every other run I took. If so, then 35mph vs 37mph exit speed out of that box probably doesn't mean a lot.

I guess there's always next time...

If the system is in warm up it will not display comp mode but the display will read warm up or something to that effect.

I didn't bother to pace off the slalom during course walk, and someone mentioned to me after I had finished my runs that it was decreasing interval. That was news to me. Lesson learned.

I paced it off at 20 when we set it up and I must have just been lazy on the last one. :P

Great event, and the course was interesting to me. My tires were screaming at this event. I am sure that their 420 treadwear rating wasn't helping, but I suspect I was overdriving a little, too.

As a novice, my main goal is to get faster every run and not make the same mistake twice. I was getting faster, but on my 3rd run I clipped a cone and it upset my confidence a bit. I can't psyche myself out, as my last run was the second slowest one I had.

That was annoying, but this really scared me: my car stalled at idle on the way home. I had to drive the last 10 miles or so home at about 4500 RPMs without stopping. The engine swap needs to happen post-haste.

My car was 3rd fastest Raw!!! Too bad I wasn't the driver for the quick time - Kudos to Rob Keehner for the good driving.

I worked 3rd heat at the Chicago Box prior to the turn around. While stackin' cones I found a pretty good sized bolt laying on the tarmac. I'm pretty sure it's either a key suspension mounting bolt or brake caliper mounting bolt. I think itsa M10. The first thing that came to mind when I picked it up was an E30 lollipop bolt (that's would be front lower control arm bushing bracket mounting bolt in layman's terms). So boyz-n-girlz check your cars over closely.

I'll try to find it tonite and post a pic.

That is real easy to have happen. You have to put the cones out of your head. What you've done can't be changed so focus on making sure you are concentrating the rest of the run. If you find you are hitting the same cone on subsequent runs analyze what you are doing wrong and make sure you focus there on your next one. (Most likely late turn in and/or too much speed) :stick:

LOL, I wrote it because you were beating me but your window wasn't big enough to write "down" on it
