I know that wasn't a Triad autocross. Their white chalk lines woudn't show up too well in the snow.

If all I had to do was drive inside a heated car...maybe, but I'm with Les, damn I hate the cold!

I think we have a similar sport down here in the South... it's called Rallycross. :sing:

And even one rally-X when the setup day actually was in snow. It really wasn't as much fun as you might think. We had to leave the bus near Brett's house and ferry the cones out in the Subarus. Traction up the hill was a joke and times were slow. It was much more fun the following day after the morning sun melted the snow.

Sounds about to be as much fun as it is to actually live in a place where that nasty shit is commonplace and everybody that works has to actually figure out a way to work each day. For about three months at a time with that horrible frozen crap on the roads for an entire season of cold slippery Hell.............. life sucks.

So much fun.

My senior year of high school was three months without seeing pavement as best as I can remember.

Uphill both ways.....................

When you live in a snow-prone area, you just learn to have fun in it. Otherwise, you crack sometime in late January.

After spending nearly 2 weeks in the frozen tundra you guys call Raleigh, I'm happily back in Florida today. Though it was down into the 40s last night to greet me brrrrr, its a remarkably pleasant 71 degrees and sunny today. My poor dried out skin on my hands nose and lips is already recovering from chapped and cracked state 2 weeks in NC left them in. Ahhhh.

As for the autocross in the snow, I'm with the others, that is more like rallycross, and as VK said while the driving part, in a car with a heater, might be fun, the standing around part would suck. No thanks.

It's from an autocross held last weekend up in Canada. Can't remember which airstrip it was, but it was -18.
