Ok, trying to get set on magnetic numbers for this season, and I think I saw someplace where this season THSCC is allowing TIR for one more year, but is moving to RT as the proper class to display (both are allowed this year). Is this right?

When running with (most, some?) SCCA clubs, I think the proper class (for a rear wheel drive car) is RTR. Is that correct?

Then in ProSolo (for a RWD car), the proper class is RT2?

Do I have this right?

I think CCR SCCA has some other scheme such as "T" in front of the class, they want everyone to display class in that fashion, i.e. TFS for tire class F-stock.

What a mess. I guess I'll get "RT" with a separate "R" and "2" to be able to add on the end? If I run with CCR much, I suppose they want that TFS thing...

Chuck,

You're basically right on all counts, yes. We wanted to make it as simple as possible as we believe the RT* categories will change quite a bit over the next year or two, an this was meant to be a stepping stone change for us as a club.

Thanks Noah. I think you're right too -- I wouldn't be surprised to see stock classes become street tire only at some point (once hardly anyone is competing in them anymore which for many clubs is about now). Off to order some numbers (assuming I'm capable of figuring out how to accommodate all these potential options  ).
