I just wanted to thank everyone who was on the Scoring Team this weekend. You guys are the best!!!!! :thumb:
For those who didn't notice or weren't at the event in Danville this Sunday, I'll give you the background on why I say that these people rock.
As you all are aware, we have a driver's meeting before we send the first car off. We've had litterally hundereds of driver's meetings in the past and I'm sure they have all gone off without a hitch. Well, fate caught us and spilled a bottle of water on the scoring computer!!!!!

I'm not going to say the names of the people who were involved in making this happen. I will say that they both drive the same Subaru.

Tom Hoppe tried to get the computer dried an usable before the start but it was not to be.
Fortunately, we have members in the club that were racing back in the days of ricshaws and using abacuses for talling scores. Art set up our class results sheets and got that moving so we could have trophies in the event the computer was unfixable. Charles Frank suggested having the "computer" person also do a set of raw sheets so we could catch any errors that might get written down by one person. This was a great idea as there were a few transposed numbers here and there.
I think the first car went off just a little late but we ended up with 112 drivers getting 4 runs each and fun runs. All before 4:30!!!!! After the regular runs were completed, Tom reassembled the dismantled computer and it WORKED!!!!!! Tom, Kenny and I were able to get everyone's fastest run entered so we could have trophies for the pax'd classes. I think we were leaving the site by 5:30!!!
Here are the people who made this happen. BIG THANKS TO THEM!!
Keith Quisdorff, Garry Minarcine, Art McDonald, Sonya Rouse, Chris Brown, Mark Musser, Sally Johnson, Tonya Mauldin, Les Davis, Robert PLank, Diane Melton, Charles Frank, Chris Peterson, Jim Pastorious, Donna Frank, and Kenny Keel. And
Tom Hoppe for getting the computer working again!
It's people like these that make our club the best damn club around!!! Without them, this event would not have been nearly as much fun as it was.
Thanks for all your hard work guys and girls!!!
