New helmet for 2013?

It seems I have heard the helmet rules will change next year and or my helmet will age out. My helmet has a 2000 Snell rating with a manufacture date in 2002. Will I need a new one for 2013?

Nope green stickers are good till 2015.

Nope green stickers are good till 2015.

Yup 5's and 0's and some of the 2010's weren't out until almost 2011 :lol:

though within age, depending on how the helmet was treated, you might consider replacing it anyways. if its stored well and not kicked around, run it until its out of spec.

That's good news. My helmet is in good shape since it has spent much of it's life stored in a bag, on a shelf, in the closet...far better treatment than the 20+ year old open face motorcycle helmet I had when I started autocrossing.
