I felt sorry for the guys at the end of heat 2 and heat 3. Some sections of the course resembled a gravel road. Next time we have an event there, we should have brooms on critical portions of the course. I think if we take 5 minutes in the middle and the ends of each run group, we can sweep away the worst of the marbles.

The gravel was "interesting" It seemed like it was in different locations on each run, especially at the far end of the course. A lightweight car on wide tires which tend to collect gravel makes for sudden loss of traction on gravel aka MARBLES.

so you were the one, that i almost had heart failure.. i thought you were going into the curbing. it was either the vette, or a mustang.
all i saw was a car going sideways through the finish, dark colored vette yeah? the wrx was certainly a learning experience with good tires on her.. It would turn in amazingly well and not push. Gotta try that again. The course got very gritty, which i thought would help my awd, but i just understeered alot.
Maybe I will go to sanford next, that is a turbo car freindly site. 8)

Yeah, I went out and swept some during heat 1 in the middle L boxes, but the area that got bad (after the 4 cone slalom) was too difficult to sweep while cars were running considering a car came through there on both laps.

Yep, the 2 L boxes in the crossover were very marbly on my last run :). As I started coming around, I put it in 1st and was ready for the burnout 180 drift back in the correct direction...didn't want to give SeaBass a rerun unnecessarily :).
