No worries Scott. Got rid of the STX and I was kinda getting tired of 86. Seemed so plain vanilla (if a number can be plain vanilla) for some reason. All the round edges? But such a practical and versatile number. Can be 86 or 68 or 8 or 6 or 9 or 98 or 89 or maybe even infinity. Think I'll try my luck with one of those. Moving on... guess you could say that I'm 86'n the 86. Time for a bigger, no, smaller, no, different number. Who knows, I may go crazy and just go single digit!

I like infinity. That's good thinking. If you have a co-driver, will they be infinity + 1, and will that screw up AXware?

Somewhere, James Short is making a square root magnet so he can be sqrt(-1)

In nautical terms, to 86 something means basically to throw it overboard. It usually refers to garbage. Lee, anyway you look at it, you’re moving up. I have always wondered why Toyota called their most storied car the "F86".

Just curious, before I start digging up enough rubber to get through Sunday...
Are we running any RT classes? Was thinking of running RTF-Pro in Fayetteville if we're set up to do so. Otherwise I'll just change tires as usual.

Thanks,
Feeling lazy...Gwennie

Not sure if we are doing that yet?? Something to be discussed in the offseason by the officers I'd guess.

If you are feeling lazy, come on and run TIR with us. I think the points are mostly sealed up so I don't think you'll be stepping on to many toes.

Spoiler...we probably are not going to the 3 RT classes next year (not worth breaking up our healthiest class) but I do see us applying the 2.5% discount to tire participants PAX.

Damn good idea. I need to stop missing meetings.

The biggest disadvantage about making RT classes work is that you need stock equivalent cars, but in TIR we have a little more versatility. For nats tours, I see RT classes growing like a weed from here in out.

That's pretty funny...

There's a new anti-liter campaign here in Raleigh and here's the billboard on 440:

Another great event. Turn out was great - 100 drivers. It was nice to see some old friends! The BRZ is faster on good tires. Just when my head was swelling to the point of exploding, all the STR folks ran and put me back in my place. Thanks guys.

I never did decide if I liked first or second gear on the course. In the end, I settled for first only after the decreasing slalom on the back side. It allowed me to slow the car for the 100 degree turn and use the throttle to steer it. Maybe it wasn't the fastest way, but it was great fun.

I apologize to those of you that had to pick up my massive cone run. The course was fun with lots of tight technical areas. This was a great event to teach me what not to do with the Z06. I have never had to deal with a hair trigger throttle before. I felt sorry for the guys at the end of heat 2 and heat 3. Some sections of the course resembled a gravel road. Next time we have an event there, we should have brooms on critical portions of the course. I think if we take 5 minutes in the middle and the ends of each run group, we can sweep away the worst of the marbles. Thanks for the fun course. The Millers get style points for the most dramatic finishes. YeeHaa
